How We Use Technology as Another Helping Hand

Thursday, August 24, 2017

At Helping Hands, our #1 priority is providing caring, effective healthcare that helps our clients feel comfortable and secure in their homes.

To achieve that goal day in and day out, we hire experienced nurses, therapists and staff and support them with efficient technology. With technology, we can lend another helping hand to support the people we care for.

We believe that technology should foster improved care, not create barriers. That’s why we invest in mobile tools that help our staff ensure patient satisfaction and exceptional communication.

The Helping Hands Technology

  • iPads: With iPads, our RNs and therapists can access patients’ electronic health records. During visits, staff members can also easily chart patient progress while noting concerns and questions.
  • Digital imaging: Helping Hands uses high-res digital cameras to document wounds and open sores visually. According to the American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair, specialized care helps wounds heal faster, and digital imaging improves our specialized treatment.
  • Telephony: Our VoIP system connects our caregivers to our main office, making it easy to know they’re at the right place at the right time.

“Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have faith in people, that they’re good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.” – Steve Jobs

At Helping Hands Healthcare, we promise to stay on the forefront of technology, while never forgetting it’s our staff’s helping hands that matter most.
